What is Future Booking with Kiosk

Future Booking with Kiosk allows users to navigate to any selected future day to view and create booking via the Kiosk.

Once a user has performed a search, either from find, free rooms, free desks or free spaces they can select the date, shown in the top right of the screen, and select a future day.

The results list will then be updated to display all bookings for the selected date.

Users will also be able to create new bookings for this selected date.

How to enable Future Booking with Kiosk

Future booking in the Kiosk is enabled by default.

If the Future Booking option has previously been disabled you will need to modify the Kiosk Stylesheet that is being used and update the “allow_future” value to true.

How to disable Future Booking with Kiosk

To disable the ability to create future day bookings via the Kiosk you will need to update or add a value to the Stylesheet that the Kiosk is using.

Find which Stylesheet to update

To find the correct Stylesheet to update navigate to the QKiosk Profiles view in the Admin Dashboard, then click the Edit icon () for the Kiosk you want to update.

Scroll down to find the Stylesheet value, in the below example the Stylesheet being used is called QKiosk.

Next, navigate to the Stylesheets view in the Dashboard.
Find the correct Stylesheet being used by the Kiosk profile, then click the Edit icon ().

If you are using the Stylesheet QKiosk v3, update the “allow_future” value from true to false.

If you are not using the QKiosk v3 stylesheet, you may need to add the below text to the very top of the stylesheet.

Once this has been added click Save.

Creating and viewing future bookings will now be disabled via the Kiosk.
