: Requires LDAP section to also be filled in, this will allow connection to Active Directory for Exchange environments.

ResourceXpress

: This will utilise the ResourceXpress built-in user database available from the User Management tab.

Resource Profile Settings

This : This will use the authentication details from the 3rd party booking system, relevant for Asure/EMS, this will be dependant on the connection properties found in each profile.

: This will use the user database provided by Asure or EMS, requires the relevant section to be filled in to allow connection to these services. This is similar to the above but is a global option.

Requires users to authenticate using a username and password,
  • to enable the use of an on-screen keyboard

Requires user authenticate using an Access/PIN Code,

Show Password Characters

Yes: Characters will be shown while a password is being typed.

No: Character will be hidden while a password is being typedSelect 'Yes' to display the password characters as they are typed or 'No' if the characters are to be hidden.

Resource Display Auto Logout
QKiosks Auto Logout

By default, an authenticated user will stay logged in until the logout button is pressed.

When enabled, the user will be logged Auto Logout logs a user out after every operation (i.e. Book, Check-In, Check-Out).

When disabled, users will be auto-logged out after inactivity

LDAP Settings

If you have selected LDAP under Authentication Protocol the following settings are required.

LDAP Attribute for Access Code

Enter the name of a custom attribute used to store a user's access code in the LDAP directory. (Used only if Authentication Type is set to 'Access Code' in the first section).

LDAP Attribute For RFID

Enter the name of a custom attribute used to store a user's RFID in LDAP directory (Used only if Show RFID Screen is set to 'Yes' in the RFID Settings section).

If using Asure/EMS Authentication Protocol: Complete the Asure/EMS Connections Settings fields with your unique details (you might need to contact Asure/EMS for these details).

Show RFID Screen. Select 'No' to omit the Login Required screen when authenticating. This skips to the login screen for input of the login details using the on-screen keyboard.

Convert RFID Data. This tells ResourceXpress how to process the incoming RFID code from an RFID reader. Choose from:

Simple.

Advanced.

Complete the rest of the displayed RFID Settings section (fields differ depending on whether you have selected to work with Simple or Advanced RFID Data). ResourceXpress works through the selections in chronological order.

Enter the number of characters that you want to remove from the beginning of the RFID card code.

Enter prefix data for each RFID card code.

Select whether the RFID card code format is in Hexadecimal or Decimal.

Input Length

Set the length of the RFID card code.

Output Bits

Select the bit configuration for RFID card code.

First Bits

This is only editable if ‘Some bits’ is selected above.

Set the first bit to be read from the RFID card code.

Number Bits

This is only editable if ‘Some bits’ is selected above.

Set the number of bits to be read from the RFID card code.

Prefix with Bits

Enter a prefix to apply to the converted output.

Output Format

Select whether the output required is Hexadecimal or Decimal.

Number of Digits

Enter the number of digits for RFID output.

Remove First

Enter the number of characters that you want to remove from the beginning of the RFID output.

Prefix With

Enter prefix to apply to the converted output.

Add Leading Zero

This will affect the output RFID value.
