The Screen User Authentication tab is used to configure the method by which users are authenticated to access and use ResourceXpress:

Explanation
Authentication Protocol
Select either 'LDAP', 'Local' or 'Resource Server'.
The default setting is 'LDAP', the supported setting for Exchange Server users.Authentication Type
Select:
- Username & Password to enable use of an on-screen keyboard to prompt for LDAP username and password.
Access Code to enable use of an on-screen access code or RFID card reader (requires additional hardware, consult QED for advice). See Users for help adding user access codes.
Show Password Characters Select 'Yes' to display the password characters as they are typed or 'No' if the characters are to be hidden. Resource Display Auto Logout
QKiosks Auto LogoutBy default, an authenticated user will stay logged in until the logout button is pressed.
When enabled, Auto Logout logs a user out after every operation. This may be enabled for Resource Displays and/or QKiosks.Complete the LDAP Settings if you have selected 'LDAP' under Authentication Protocol in the section above:

Explanation
LDAP Server
Enter the Active Directory host name, or any valid LDAP server or IP address.
LDAP Domain
Enter the Active Directory domain, or any valid LDAP domain.
LDAP Bind User
Enter the Bind Users username. This is an account which will have Read permissions in LDAP as a minimum.
LDAP Bind Password
Enter the Bind Users password.
SSL
Check this box if Active Directory is server over SSL or LDAPS.
LDAP Attribute for Name
Enter 'Name' here for booking organiser or attendee name to display in the booking screen.
LDAP Attribute for Access Code
Enter the name of a custom attribute used to store a user's access code in the LDAP directory. (Used only if Authentication Type is set to 'Access Code' in the first section).
LDAP Attribute For RFID
Enter the name of a custom attribute used to store a user's RFID in LDAP directory (Used only if Show RFID Screen is set to 'Yes' in the RFID Settings section).
- Show RFID Screen. Select 'No' to omit the Login Required screen when authenticating. This skips to the login screen for input of the login details using the on-screen keyboard.
- Convert RFID Data. This tells ResourceXpress how to process the incoming RFID code from an RFID reader. Choose from:
- Simple.
- Advanced.
Complete the rest of the displayed RFID Settings section (fields differ depending on whether you have selected to work with Simple or Advanced RFID Data). ResourceXpress works through the selections in chronological order.

Explanation
Convert to Decimal
Check to convert the RFID card code to decimal.
Remove first
Enter the number of characters that you want to remove from the beginning of the RFID card code.
Prefix output with
Enter prefix data for each RFID card code.
Advanced:

Output Format | Select whether the output required is Hexadecimal or Decimal. |

Remove First | Enter the number of characters that you want to remove from the beginning of the RFID output. |
Prefix With | Enter prefix to apply to the converted output. |
Add Leading Zero | Check the boxes to select preferences for RFID output. |
