Create & Edit Kiosk Profiles

Open Kiosk Profiles

Then click either + Create to add a new profile, or to edit an existing profile.

The Add/Edit QKiosk Display form is displayed.

If editing an existing profile the fields will be populated with the current information.

Complete the fields as detailed below:

Name

Enter a clear and concise name for the kiosk.

Title

The main message/title that will appear on the home screen of the kiosk.

Home Message

A message that will appear under the title.

Show Logo

Enable/disable the logo being visible on the home screen.

Logo Image

Specify a custom logo for the kiosk. Default this is blank if Show Logo is set to Yes system settings logo will be used.

Enable Search

Allows the search option on the Kiosk.

Enable My Events

Allows users to access a personalized list of bookings.

My Events Default View

Choose how the My Events page displays results.

  1. Today’s Events - Lists all the users events for the current day as individual items.

  2. Today’s Events by Resource - Lists all the users events for the current day grouped by resource, all other events for those resources are also included in the results.

  3. All Events - Lists all the users events for current and future days as individual items.

Enable Find a Colleague

Enabling this option will show the “Find a Colleague” button on the Kiosk home screen.
Users will be presented with a search box, allowing them to find their colleagues.
This users booking for the day will be displayed.

Default Qsign

Shows a link to use the QSign from the QKiosk home screen.

Default Map

Shows a link to use the Map from the QKiosk home screen.

Enable Free Rooms

Displays a list of all available free rooms.

Enable Free Desks

Displays a list of all available free desks.

Enable Free Spaces

Allows the user to select a Space type, then all available options for this Space type will be listed.

Enable Self Registration

Allows ​a user to register and configure/update their system name, access code and RFID card for authentication purposes.

For v5 customers you will need to add all required domains to the resourcexpress database, (see below SQL query for example) and restart IIS.

Location

Set the location of the kiosk.

Enabled Messaging

When enabled allows system messages to be displayed at the bottom of the home screen.

Authenticate Booking Actions

When set to No any bookings made from this Kiosk profile will not require users to sign-in.
This can be useful for public-facing Kiosk devices where anonymous users may require the ability to reserve resources.

Stylesheet

Allow custom styles to be applied to adjust the look of the kiosk.

MAC Address

Used for Screen Security, Add a list of MAC Addresses of devices that can access this Kiosk.

Public Secure Mode

Enabling this option will require a user to authenticate before accessing any menu on the kiosk except Self Registration.

This option is only applicable for physical kiosks

Click Save to return to the QKiosk Display Profile screen.
