Email Settings Tab

The Email Settings tab is used to specify email server configuration details.
The email address entered here is used for notifications, alerts and reminders.

SMTP Settings are required before users can be created.

SMTP Host

Enter the address of the SMTP server for your domain.

SMTP Port

Enter the port number used by your SMTP server. The default is port 25.

From Address

Enter the address to appear in the From field on ResourceXpress emails.

Use OAuth
v2022.3

This option is only available for Office 365.

Selecting Yes will allow the OAuth Authentication section below to be populated.

Selecting No will allow the Basic Authentication section below to be populated.

Selecting Use Resource Server Settings will use the same OAuth details that are used under the Resource Server tab.

Enable SSL

When enabled emails will be send over SSL.

SMTP User ID
(optional)

Enter an email address in your domain.

SMTP Password
(optional)

Enter the password associated with your email address.

OAuth Tenant ID
v2022.3 (optional)

When using OAuth for SMTP additional permissions will be required.

Test Button v2023.3

Once you have configured your email settings you are able to test that they are working correctly by using the Test button.

After clicking the button you will be shown a pop up with will require an email address.
Enter your email address and the click Send.

If successful, an email will be sent to the provided address.
The email will look similar to the below image.

Save

To store your email settings click the Save button.
